Three Desserts that Even Your Kids Can Make
Are you looking for recipes that will satisfy your kids’ sweet tooth? Then why not make them make their own desserts. The best thing about these desserts is that they are easy to do, and doesn’t involve baking, chopping, or boiling.
1. Strawberry Shortcake Éclair Cake Version
This recipe only requires a couple of ingredients. You can even substitute the topping with strawberry ice cream if you don’t want your kids to use the stove. You will need an instant strawberry crème jello pudding mix for the recipe. If you can’t find one in the local grocery store, you can use instant vanilla-flavored pudding and a little amount of strawberry jello powder. You will also need a package of graham crackers.
To create the cake, you just need to make layers of pudding and graham crackers in a cake pan. Then place it in the fridge and wait for several minutes. You serve it cold.
2. Cherry Salad
You only need four ingredients to create a cherry salad with your kids. It is canned fruit salad mixed with cherry pie filling and whipped cream. Your kids will enjoy mixing the cream, the pie filling, and bits of fruits in the bowl. Then you chill it for a couple of minutes, and it is ready to be served.
3. Butterscotch Banana Parfait
The best way to make a parfait with your kids is by using pre-made pudding. It is ideal for days when you need to prepare desserts quickly. You just need butterscotch pudding, broken gingersnap cookies, bananas, and whipped cream.
The first step is to place the pudding into the bottom of a tall glass. Then place slices of banana on top of the pudding. Sprinkle some gingersnap crumbs over the bananas. Then add some whipped cream. Repeat the layers one more time and then top it with a generous amount of whipped cream.
